Working in a collaborative and information-centered environment, the Senior Security Engineer will support on-going security

monitoring and enhancement activities including:

? Scan of clients network to validate the current state of vulnerabilities throughout the clients network

? Firewall administration

? Evaluation of new and existing applications for security compliance and provide recommendations to improve client

security posture

? Validate remediation efforts of findings related to vulnerability and system configurations

? Perform security initiative gap assessments

? Implement, test and maintain defined security solutions

? Provide security support for client project development and existing client applications

? Act as security liason to the developer and program support groups

? Act as Incident Response Team lead, responsible for directing the engineer/analyst in triaging security incidents and

keeping the security group manager apprised of the incident status

? Update and implement the annual USAC security awareness training, annual client developer security training and annual

client administrator security training

? Respond to day-to-day IT operations and internal requirements requiring security support

? Define desired state for people, process and technology solutions that are to be utilized to support other IT efforts

? Other IT security support


? Master's Degree (or equilivant experience)

? CISSP or CEH certification

? CCNA, MCSE and/or RHCE certification


? Minimum 7 years of experience assessing IT security needs and providing associated support

? Minimum 6 years IT network security knowledge and implementation experience (e.g. firewalls, secure

topologies/architectures, intrusion detection and analysis, Microsoft and UNIX OS security, vulnerability assessments)

? Minimum 6 years working system administration knowledge of UNIX and Microsoft operating systems

? Minimum 4 years in application security including Web Application

? Minimum 4 years in IT Security Incident/Forensics

? Minimum 3 years Firewall Administration and IT Security Policy and Standars development

? Previous work supporting security, business continuity, and compliance and maturity intiatives

? Wireless Network Architecture and Security Testing

? Experience with Splunk configuration/maintenance

? Experience with Nessus configuration/operation

? NextGen Firewalls (Palo Alto a plus)

? FireEye and CarbonBlack (Protect and/or Defense)

? Cisco Sourcefire Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems
