The Access Database Developer will be responsible for developing an access/excel database to allow cross functional groups to input inventory status and sales commits. The Database Developer will, in addition, evaluate and advise on the best software and database management systems and applications. The outcome/deliverable will be to implement a dashboard which will enable all levels of the organization to see the latest information and data on sales commits.
Design and deploy data table structures, forms, reports, and queries using Excel/Access software to house inventory and sales order commits.
Coordinate and work with other technical staff to capture the requirements and business needs necessary to develop both primary and secondary rational databases.
Coordinate data migrations as applicable between SAP, BW and other software solutions.
Develop and implement change control and testing processes and procedures required for developing this database.
Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements.
Implement a data dashboard that has the capability to display data in differing formats
Produce standard and ad-hoc queries and reports to support business needs.
Create standard work for users to capture the maintenance of the database.
1-2 weeks - Review and Assess Business Needs
3-4 - Develop a pilot database
4-6 - incorporate changes
7-8 - Launch the database to the users
9-10 - Create standard work
11-12 - Post database implementation technical support
