The 3PL team lead will be responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan to assure specified deliverables are achieved within defined timelines and varied project objectives as outlined in 3 PL Directives.
Develop project requirements and scope for the 3PL transition and implementation. Manage and report out on key project milestones, tasks, scope, timelines and risks impacting the project
Work with the central UTAS Logistics team to define optimal and efficient layouts, processes, and flows -including definition and design of logistics areas (warehouse areas, supermarkets, kitting and sequencing areas, line delivery)
Define work-plans, timelines and deliverables and monitor project status including status reporting.
Manage issue resolution and escalation and ensure delivery of project targets for logistics improvement initiatives are reported to management.
Work with cross functional team on processes/ flow optimization of parts coming from 3PL provider to onsite operations.
Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions for logistics functions/ activities.
Develop KPI metrics to measure the success of the 3PL delivery performance.
Develop plan for communicating to all key stakeholders progress on the project.
