Security Engineer I

job summary:

This role is responsible for ongoing security configuration management and administration for endpoint security tooling across a multi-platform (Mac/Linux/Windows) environment.

This individual will also be called on to execute a broad range of security related tasks that protect various business applications and systems.

responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle endpoint security tool related requests for internal customers, including configuration changes

  • Monitor and respond to internal security questions and inquiries as it relates to endpoint security tools across Mac, Linux and Windows endpoint systems

  • Assist Security and IT teams with reporting on computer account activity and resource use

  • Recommend enhancements to Enterprise Security procedures and identify process improvement opportunities

  • Develop run books and documentation around use cases encountered when managing endpoint security tools

qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Information Security training or certification(s) a plus

  • Minimum one-year experience in a security focused role

skills: Required skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Understanding of basic information security concepts and ability to following Information Security policies, standards, and procedures

  • Respond professionally to customers, teammates and business partners

  • Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively with global cross-functional teams; Primary time zones Eastern and Pacific US

  • Excellent organization, problem solving and time management skills and attention to detail. Must be able to work on multiple tasks concurrently and re-prioritize work independently as needed

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Information Security training or certification(s) a plus

  • Minimum one-year experience in a security focused role

  • Bonus Points:

  • Python and scripting experience

  • Experiencing using security tooling APIs ad integrating with Security automation and orchestration platforms
