Analyst

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Analyst will support procurement activities in support of the Operations team. This position will serve as a focal point for data management and data entry within the procurement team and owner of procurement process development activity.- The position will collaborate with manufacturing, planning, supplier commodity management, IT, logistics, quality and finance personnel in the completion of duties.

Responsibilities:

Compiles data from procurement system, analyzes, and presents team reports weekly

Data entry, Data analysis, electronic workflow creation

Lead daily supply chain interface meetings with cross-functional team. Host weekly buyer one-on-one meetings to track actions and report on procurement execution metrics

Refresh and report weekly procurement data to the buying team

Process mapping of business functions; defining improvement areas within the teams operations

Procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability of source and urgency requirements

Reviews Oracle MRP on a regular basis; adjusts part and supplier settings to match the dynamic demand and supply requirements. Executes pull-ins, push outs, cancellations, expedites and new orders at minimal cost as required.

Maintains inventory levels per plan and performs excess, obsolete and zero demand analysis. Minimizes excess and zero demand inventory.

Works with suppliers to train & utilize Oracle iSupplier to: access purchasing information, acknowledge requests/orders, provide updated order status and issue invoices

Tracks, provides material status and expedites shortage materials as required to achieve timely receipt of materials. Validates supplier commitments

Interfaces with Accounting and Receiving to resolve invoice and receiving problems

Reviews and ensures actions per disposition of Engineering Change Notices

Participates in special projects and strategic initiatives, as requested

Working hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Skills:

Skills and Experience:

--Expert Microsoft Excel skills - required

--Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communication skills and teamwork skills

--Requires a general understanding of supply chain management, competitive analysis, cost analysis, cost avoidance and reduction, commodity knowledge, information systems, and procure-to-pay

--B.S./B.A. Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related discipline

--Experience with Visio & PowerPoint - preferred

--1-2 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Materials Planning- - preferred

--Experience in statistical modeling, DMAIC process improvement - preferred

--Experience using Oracle ERP and Agile PLM software - preferred

--APICS CSSP, ISM CPSM or APICS CPIM certification - preferred
