Tatum's client, an industry leading Data-enabled Marketing Services Company, is looking for an interim CFO in their New York City location.


  • 5 years minimum experience as a CFO of $200+ million NASDAQ or NYSE publicly traded company

  • 15+ years total accounting or finance experience

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance, including ITGC framework, and SEC reporting

  • Significant experience dealing with external auditing firms, including financial statement and ITGC audits as required under 404a and 404b

  • Significant experience communicating with the "Street", including analyst coverage, quarterly conference calls, deal and non-deal road shows and industry conferences

  • Demonstrated success in managing cost of capital, including leveraging both public and private placements and the regulatory requirements for such

  • Demonstrated experience and success in application and implementation of internal controls, including integration of significant M&A transactions

  • Experience in technology and/or data driven businesses preferred

  • CPA preferred

  • MBA from top business school preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan for and and hire members of your reporting team, including but not limited to Chief Accounting Officer, SOX Compliance Officer

  • Management of financial and SOX audit processes

  • Management of the Company's tax strategy and annual tax return preparation

  • Accurate and timely preparation of quarterly and annual SEC reports in conjunction with the Company's SEC legal team

  • Provide leadership to and management of dynamic accounting and finance teams, including continued management reporting systems (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual scorecards/ KPIs)

  • Develop and interpret internal control policies, procedures, purposes, and goals of the company and its subordinates

  • Manage the Company's treasury functions including development of strategies and relationships with sources of capital

  • Plan for and hire manager of investor relations

  • With the manager of investor relations and corporate leadership, develop and implement an investor relation strategy

  • Provide outstanding leadership, guidance and partnership to the senior management team

  • Balance competing priorities within the organization with a disciplined management process and flawless execution
