A local Non-Profit has an immediate temporary need for a Payroll Staff Accountant. The Payroll Staff Accountant will be accountable to ensure that payroll expenses are accurately reflected in the general ledger. This includes calculating and booking of accruals related to fringe, vacation and reconciliation of payroll activities to the bank statements.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and payroll accounting.

  • UltiPro/Ultimate Software and Advanced MS Excel is required, Agresso Software is highly preferred.

  • Prepare payroll related general ledger journal entries for each payroll record and payroll related expense including calculation of accruals.

  • Maintain payroll schedules and work with the Payroll department on the data collection and payroll output.

  • Prepare reclassification journal entries related to changes in labor reporting.

  • Reconcile all payroll related accounts between the payroll sub-ledger system and the general ledger to ensure accurate representation of year-to-date payroll expenses and identify and resolve outstanding bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare reports as needed, including per pay period labor reporting by employee for wage related accounts.

  • Assist in the development of the general ledger mapping and journal entry process related to payroll conversion from Ceridian to Ultipro.

The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in payroll processing and payroll accounting, with Ultimate software.
