IT Training Specialist

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST / COLUMBUS OH

Seeking an individual with working experience and mid-to-high level skill using the following software tools:

  • Adobe Captivate

  • Adobe Audition

  • Adobe Media Encoder

  • RoboHelp or Help & Manual

  • SnagIt

Requirements include -

  • 5+ years experience in building job/role based training and development plans;

  • Professional experience in Instructional Design, eLearning Development, Multimedia Production, or a combination of the above.

  • Experience developing role-based training

  • Good blend of technical and tactical execution skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Customer-service focus;

  • Ability to thrive in a highly dynamic, fast-paced agile team environment;

  • Proven knowledge of workplace learning and performance and adult learning principles;

  • Demonstrated creative problem-solving and delivery strategy skills;

  • Self-motivated, deadline driven, and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Experience with training development and roll out on at least 1 enterprise-wide project

  • Utility experience a plus

DAY TO DAY -

  • Work with training team to identify and document training and development needs within an organization through job analysis, appraisal schemes and interaction with BU training liaisons.

  • Produce training materials for in-house courses

  • Help to define and develop a methodology to monitor and review the progress of trainees

  • Support management of training schedules, communications, and delivery planning

  • Support development of training scorecard and on-going reporting

  • Support roll out of post go-live learning events including webinars, events etc.

  • Amend and revise programs as necessary, in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment

  • Have an understanding of e-learning techniques, and where relevant, be involved in the creation and/or delivery of e-learning packages

  • Research new technologies and methodologies in workplace learning and present this research.

  • Support change management team with change impact assessments and job role mapping as required.
