A world's leader in heating, cooling and refrigeration technologies is actively looking for a 1st shift Production Supervisor to join their team in the manufacturing of water cooled commercial chiller units. Along with the daily supervision of the dynamic workforce (approximately a 40/60 split of permanent and temporary) where the primary goal is to identify, retain, and promote, our client is looking for demonstrated success in continuous improvement initiatives, specifically those targeting actionable objectives providing tangible results. Other expectations include:

  • Coordinate accordingly to provide seamless shift change transition

  • Partner with and actively participate in engineering, supply chain, and EH&S communications, initiatives, and implementations

  • Monitor labor requirements in relations to production needs ensuring optimal efficiency

  • Actively participate in production meetings (i.e. insight, data driven, lean focused)

  • Provide clear reporting detail of status, updates to lead times, forecasting, material requirements, and production rates

  • Ensure timely production needs are met per specified lead times and installation requirements

  • Work with the Engineering department providing insight into the manufacturing process

Pay is dependant upon experience starting at $25.00/hour

Working hours: Monday through Friday 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM


The successful candidate will exhibit the following skills and qualifications:

  • Technical knowledge of work instructions in the manufacturing of pressure vessels (commercial chillers)

  • Proven experience developing cross functional SOP's

  • Decisive critical thinking relying on instinct and applying past work experience

  • Knowledge of welding, brazing, and other metallurgic processes

  • Understand and perform each individual job function required within a short period of time in order to properly identify, communicate, and engage effective change management

  • Demonstrated success implementing directed improvements

  • Demonstrated success initiating and implementing improvements

  • Communicate corporately and individually

  • Well versed with applied knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts

  • Drive and promote expectations through hands on, self-motivating techniques

The requisite background and drug screen requirements apply

Education: A minimum four (4) year degree required preferably in an Engineering or Business related field
