IT Operations Incident Manager

Job Description:

  • 5-10 years of IT Operations experience

  • Working with Situation Managers and technical Support teams to ensure consistent level of high quality Incident record documentation to defined standards

  • Working with Problem Managers, Situation Managers, Application Support and Technology Platform teams to review, manage and implement permanent solutions for Problem records

  • Drive improvements in application stability and customer service quality by ensuring completion of tasks associated with Problem resolution

  • Manage Post Mortem Analysis meetings for major Incidents in order to facilitate root cause identification and planning for remediation

  • Create and continually improve reporting process to monitor performance of Incident and Problem Management processes

Required skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of IT frameworks and processes - ITIL certification a plus, SDLC

  • Solid understanding of modern IT infrastructure components, especially Network, Java Application Servers, Virtualized hosts, Oracle DB, HTTP Servers

  • Some background in an allied function such as operations support, platform engineering or software development
