The Corporate Communications Manager will develop and implement multiple elements of our company's comprehensive, communications strategy, helping to position The Hanover as an employer of choice. Key focus areas include employee and HR communications, as well as support for employee events and corporate relations:
Working hours: Monday - Friday Standard AM Hours
--In concert with team lead, drive the planning and execution of effective corporate, employee and HR communications, as well as communications related to employee events and corporate relations.
--Coordinate, write and distribute primary internal communications, News that's Good to Know and intranet sliders - including story stream, workflow, deadlines, creation, approvals, distribution. Ensure content is on point for the messaging, aligned with branding and positioning, accurate, timely, and typo free.
--Write corporate communications pieces as assigned, manage the creation and accuracy of copy related to all communications vehicles, including collateral pieces, intranet and external communications.
--Work with internal clients, Corporate Marketing, Communications team, and others to lead or support project management and implement integrated communications plans for key initiatives.
--Work with internal clients to write creative briefs for all multi-faceted projects or those that require design. Meet with the design and production teams to review creative briefs and kick off projects.
--Work with others to develop a schedule for all projects and the subsequent quality and timeliness of execution by communicating production schedules to internal clients and collaborating to ensure that goals are met.
--Develop and implement crisis communications management and quick response strategies.
--Prepare corporate news announcements as appropriate.
--Support execution of social media strategy and channels including Facebook, Linked In and Twitter
--Ensure that messaging is consistent with the company's corporate messaging platform/framework and is delivered in a consistent manner.
Required Skills, Key Competencies and Experience:
--A minimum of five years of experience in employee and HR communications preferred.
--B.S./B.A. preferred. Degree in communications, journalism or English preferred.
