Randstad is searching for a receptionist to support a large law firm in the DuPont Circle area of DC. This is a career opportunity and the perfect candidate will have at least 1 year of experience or an internship in a professional office environment. This role requires a customer-service driven individual who will be the face of the organization and the "go to" person in the office.

Summary of Duties:

-Operates multi-line telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel or department.

-Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.

-Maintains security and appearance of reception area; monitors visitor access.

-Welcomes on-site visitors and clients, determines nature of business, and announces visitors and clients to appropriate personnel.

-Schedules office maintenance requests with building management.

-Enters staff attorneys and contract attorneys time descriptions in firm timekeeping data base.

-Assists secretaries with partner/associate time entry as needed.

-Posts updated firm telephone extension lists in all conference rooms, kitchens, satellite copy rooms, telephone closet, and other areas as needed.

-Maintains telephone closet with office supplies, such as paper, pens, pencils, phonebooks, and chairs.

-Receives incoming first-class mail; sorts for delivery to name partners; sorts and opens accounts payable and date-stamps.

-Coordinates scheduling and catering for weekly attorney lunch.

-Coordinates reservations and catering needs for conference rooms and evening work-late dinner orders.

-Assists with mass mailing of firm announcements.

-Creates and prints fax cover sheets, memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents as necessary.

-Prepare firm newsletter and circulates to all staff.

Working hours: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
