Growing leader in energy efficiency and renewable technology solutions is seeking an HVAC Technician to join their team in Washington, DC. The HVAC Tech will install, test and maintain the HVAC systems on a long term federal project. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of HVAC experience with commercial buildings and a DC HVAC License (will consider MD or VA HVAC licenses, however- candidate must obtain a DC HVAC license within 12 months from the hire date.) This position is second shift (2pm to 10pm)
Responsibilities for the HVAC Technician
Troubleshoots, recharges, cleans, repairs, and checks all HVAC systems
Make necessary adjustments and calibration of related control devices
Estimate time and materials needed and prepare and updates prints as necessary.
Requirements for the HVAC Technician
5+ years of commercial HVAC experience. Must include work with fan coil units, air handling units, refrigeration, control valves and controls, steam, HHW & DDC in the DC area.
Washington DC Journeyman's HVAC License required (will consider MD or VA HVAC licenses, however- candidate must obtain a DC HVAC license within 12 months from the hire date.)
Types II and III CFC Certification and Universal Certification desired.
This role requires extensive walking, stooping, climbing and blending and candidates must be able to life up to 50 lbs and transport equipment.
