Our client, a company focused on regenerative medicine is looking for an Instructional Designer Trainer in the Virginia Beach, VA area. This is a 5-6 months CONTRACT position.
The instructional designer/trainer will work with various subject matter experts and plan, design, develop, and implement online learning modules, training and staff development programs/curricula, instructor-led training, and blended learning materials. The instructional designer will use strong interpersonal, written, visual, and verbal communication skills to combine text, images, video, and audio to educate the current employees, customers, distributors, and the community as needed. The instructional designer differentiates between, selects, and effectively integrates appropriate learning strategies (i.e., hands-on activities, instructor-led training, individual training, self-study, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role-play, and computer-based training) to meet training needs.
Responsibilities for the Designer Trainer
Designs, develops, implements, and assesses various learning and development solutions using instructional design methodologies, such as ADDIE.
Conducts needs analysis studies and confers with management groups to validate training needs and to build a business case for requested training.
Trains department-level instructors and/or supervisory personnel in effective training delivery techniques to ensure effective transfer of skills.
Drives the development and advancement of best-in-class training programs and initiatives.
Develops effective and continuous communications with subject matter experts and departments to understand and address training.
Designs, develops, and maintains training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
Creates instructional video/audio for various company needs using appropriate software
Requirements for the Designer
Bachelor s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, or a related area.
Minimum 3 years experience in Training curriculum design and development to professional level staff or for higher education
Learning Authoring Software: Proficient in at least one of following:
Microsoft, Articulate Storyline, ISpring Suite, Snagit, Adobe Flash Professional, Adobe Captivate, Lecture Inspire.
Social Media Applications: Knowledge in basic HTML, Dreamweaver, or similar web design program
Pay: Competitive depending on professional experience.
Start date: Immediately
