DescriptionPosition Summary:

The patient care coordinator works closely with patients and their providers to increase treatment success. This involves patient services, care coordination, working with patients to help them understand and adhere to their treatment plan, as well as performing minor clinical procedures such as blood draws and injections. After a minimum of 9 months, qualified patient care coordinators will be trained for management roles.

Position Responsibilities:

Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls and E-mails

Greeting patients and properly escorting them in and out

Working with the team to ensure smooth flow of operation

Handling of medications from ordering, receiving and checking them in, packaging and mailing out, and handing them to patients picking up

Learning the clinic systems, keeping up with updates and being able to train staff of all levels

Performing blood pressure checks, blood draws, injections and other various tasks requested by the physician and manager

Building rapport with patients and providing a safe and comfortable environment for patients

Processing, handling and depositing cash, card and check payments, and managing payment plans

Being influential in starting, continuing, and renewing patient programs

Communicating lab test results and physician's recommendations to patients.

Properly entering notes in the Clinic System

Following up with staff on both individual and team tasks and ensuring completion of them within expected timelines

Working with disgruntled patients and their concerns and complaints to find solutions.

Handling incidents and emergencies calmly and smoothly

Effectively communicating with manager and assisting with execution and implementation of policies and procedures

Working hours: 8am - 5pm


Position Qualifications:

Phlebotomy skills and ability to deliver injections

Must have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal

Strong administrative skills

Ability to maintain organization while multi-tasking in a very fast paced environment

Ability to answer calls efficiently and return calls in a timely manner

Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor while resolving a variety of issues

Proficient at Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel

Proficiency in computer/tablet use and typing

Must be a team player with a positive and professional disposition
