  • Manage the Leave of Absence program for all U.S. Facilities. Maintains and tracks leaves according to applicable laws and company policies.

  • Maintains strong collaborative partnerships with Workers Comp vendor, broker, payroll, legal and HR business partners in order to resolve issues and develop and implement solutions.

  • Partner with the payroll department to ensure employee s requests are updated and processed accordingly.

  • Produce and manage payroll reporting metrics on a biweekly basis for all leave and workers compensation cases to include tracking of sick time hours used/taken to ensure that pay for employees is accurate and correct.

  • Support employees and management with leave requests, interpreting policies and leave options as appropriate.

  • Work closely with employees to ensure that all relevant completed medical documentation is submitted for timely review. Independently approve and/or deny leave cases based on relevant medical information. Maintain appropriate contact with employees and coordinate all aspects of return to work.

  • Recommends changes to our leaves and workers comp policies and processes by researching trends and developments in Federal and State laws.

  • Manage the Workers Compensation program for all U.S. Facilities.

  • Maintain CAL/OSHA required OSHA 300 log updated for all U.S. facilities and ensure posting requirements.

  • Manages all aspects of disability benefits in conjunction with leave administration

  • Advises and counsels employees on existing benefits programs and handles escalated benefit inquiries and complaints.

  • Work on special projects as assigned to assist and support the Benefits department.

  • Process all premium payments, delinquent payment letters and coordinate with payroll if any payments are due when an employee returns to work.


  • 5 years experience in HR/Benefits with knowledge of HR laws and their applications

  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws that affect leave of absence and workers compensation administration and general benefits

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint,), and HRIS systems

  • High level of interpersonal skills, sensitive to confidential situations and information

  • Demonstrates poise, tact, diplomacy and good judgment and able to handle confidential material in a reliable manner

  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely

  • Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience
