Growing manufacturing leader is looking to hire a Day Shift Plant Superintendent, this shift will be Monday thru Friday. This opportunity will be in the South Bend, Indiana area. The ideal candidate will possess experience managing production supervisors in a manufacturing environment with a focus on Lean manufacturing, safety, quality, on-time delivery and reducing scrap. We are looking for candidates that have an interest in being groomed to become a manufacturing manager. This role comes with an excellent salary commensurate with experience ranging from $70k to $85k plus a bonus opportunity. Excellent relocation package is also available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United State.

Responsibilities for the Plant Superintendent

  • Provide leadership and continuous improvement to the team in the areas of safety, quality, cost/productivity and devlivery

  • Support the companies production system include continuous improvement

  • Prove necessary resources and training, coaches/mentors associates on behavior relevant to companies values, policies, procedures and performance standards

  • Analyze production schedules and estimates employee hour requirements and establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules

  • Develop and maintain a working relationship with the manufacturing associates ensuring the adherence to companies values and traits

  • Drives results; consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances

Requirements for the Plant Superintendent

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with demonstrated team participation and/or leadership and related continuous improvement successes

  • BS is required

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, delegation and conflict resolution skills

  • Track record of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, TPS or leading Kaizen events

  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States


  • Excellent compensation plan commensurate with experience ranging from $70k to $85k plus bonus

  • Excellent relocation package is available
