Randstad US in partnership with Partners Healthcare is hiring a Document Imaging Reviewer for a long term contract position.
The Document Imaging Reviewer reports to the Supervisor of the Imaging Unit and is responsible for the timely preparation and capture of documents into the Department s imaging system. The primary function is to prepare and image a variety of documents, using imaging equipment and software. The three core duties are prepping, scanning, and indexing of paper documents. The individual must have the ability to meet production deadlines and goals in a high volume, fast paced environment. The individual must be highly accurate to insure subsequent retrieval of the documents according to defined locators.
Working hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-4:30 PM
The individual should have the ability to take responsibility for and perform tasks independently as well as in a team environment.
o-Receive cash remittance documents from Cash/Remittance Department and prepare for scanning.
o-Receive correspondence and Third Party EOBs from outside mail as well as Units within Patient Accounts and other corporate and entity departments.
o-Sort documents into appropriate document types.
o-Correct and identify patient information at Medical Record level or Statement level depending on document type; research the legacy systems as needed to find correct information.
o-Prepare documents for scanning: remove staples, paper clips, repair torn documents with tape or by copying a new page. Stamp document with Poor Quality stamp. Write the account number on the document if missing.
o-Sort documents into approved order, inserting a batch cover sheet including batch number, and separator sheets.
o-Adjust proper settings of scanner and software controls.
o-Scan documents through scanner viewing quality of the scanned image.
o-Index batches and individual documents by entering required data to link documents to individual accounts for future retrieval.
o-Complete imaging processes within identified timeframes for each document.
o-Prepare documents for post scan storage or recycling.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of general office experience required.
6 months-1 year of active patient accounting experience preferred.
Certified Billing program certificate a plus.
Excellent key boarding skills is required.
Proficiency in PC skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs is necessary.
