High growth clean technology company is currently seeking a Staff Accountant to support their corporate accounting group. This high growth company will have a lot of opportunities for high performers and the position will support the general ledger activities, month-end close, variance analysis, reconciliations, etc. Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of strong general ledger accounting experience and excellent communication skills. BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
Position: Staff Accountant
JOB PURPOSE This position will have accounting responsibility for operator entities that provide asset management duties to operating companies. They will also have responsibilities for cash journal entries and preparation of bank reconciliations. Additionally, this role will be entering payroll entries and performing ad hoc duties as needed.
Full accounting and general ledger responsibility for one or more operator entities including preparation of all balance sheet reconciliations associated with the entity
Read, interpret, and summarize management agreements between operator and project entities
Job Position Description
Preparation of all intercompany and related party invoices that are to be contractually billed under management agreements
Hands on use, data entry and navigation of general ledger, and reporting software. Will need to learn to generate Dynamics reports from all system modules to take full advantage of Dynamics Data
Prepare and maintain Excel-based financial reporting files for operator entity - including balance sheet, income statement, changes in member s capital, and statement of cash flows
Prepare annual budgets for operator entities
Upload and prepare cash journal entries
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for multiple legal entities
Communicate with domestic offices, third parties and within the SF accounting group to coordinate information gathering and resolve accounting, intercompany and investment activity issues
Performance of control responsibilities in compliance with SOX 404
Special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary.
Educational Experience College degree required. BS degree in Accounting or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience is required. Required Work Experience The following criteria will be used as a basis for Pattern to select a qualified applicant:
