Communication is a key part of your role: You will be communicating both business updates and program changes into the team as well as outwardly communicating program progress, issues and risks. Email communications need to be crisp and to the point while providing sufficient detail to carry the message.

Attention to detail & Ability to connect the dots: It is important to keep track of details in support of the big picture. This will enable you to connect the dots across the teams and drive the overall program. These skills are essential to understanding how the teams are doing and being able to spot problem areas that need help.

Manage the spaces in between: In this role, you do not directly manage a team. We already have development managers and scrum masters on board to do that. Your job is to bridge the gap among the various technical team and between IT and business. You identify the gaps and drive alignment across the teams.

Insightful judgement: You will deal with a lot of ambiguity and will need to apply insightful judgement to the information that you process. You need to absorb and understand what is around you, filter it, evaluate it and then act on it. Frequently, this will require you to identify options, looks at pros and cons and determine what the right trade-offs are to keep the program moving.

Influence to maximize results: As noted, you do not directly manage a team. This means that you need to leverage your skills at influencing to drive managers and team forward, not via a hierarchical relationship but through a matrixed one.

Your Background:

  • 6-10+ years of IT experience in an enterprise environment, including at least 4 years in a leadership role, supporting medium to large-size projects

  • Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science with Business Management (or related field) or equivalent work experience required.

  • Experience in eStore, Order Management, CRM or Big Data IT applications

  • Business knowledge in software/high tech industry, emerging technologies focusing on cloud products, SaaS platforms, or Enterprise Applications

  • Agile/Scrum experience required
