Our client is a nationwide, diversified financial services company with $1.7 trillion in assets. Corporate Finance plans, tracks, analyzes and reports financial results, manages the company s balance sheet, including funding, capital and investments; oversees internal real estate needs; drives acquisitions; is responsible for financial controls; and leads corporate strategy.
This position is part of the company s Basel Team which is part of the Controller s division of the bank.
The responsibilities of the Senior Analytics Consultant on this team may include, but not be limited to the following:
Performs very complex analyses/analysis design involving data mining financial, and/or comparative analysis.
Responsible for management reporting allocation and analysis for Credit Risk-Weighted Assets (RWA) and addressing all inquiries (which may require advance analytics of submitted data for multiple products) from lines of businesses and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM).
Prepare lines of business quarterly variance analysis with detailed explanations about what changed the credit risk weighted assets.Experience performing balance sheet rate / volume analysis.
Assist with annual exercise for Recovery Team in providing various credit risk weights for multiple levels of scenarios.
Understand the capital infrastructure, Reveneus (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - OFSAAI) and its data model. Be able to extract information necessary for management reporting. Query, and organize data to create necessary reports and present it to drive decision making.
May assist other team members with risk weighted asset forecasting, and other ad hoc projects.
Analyze quarterly capital results to inform management on trends.
4+ years of financial reporting experience
6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Masters degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling
2+ years of credit risk experience
Essbase and/or SmartView experience
Ability to prepare presentations, management reporting, and statistical analysis
Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of maintaining and updating SharePoint team web content
Knowledge and understanding of regulatory compliance requirements surrounding Dodd Frank, Basel II and III
2+ years of SQL experience
Experience working with at least one of the following asset classes/areas in calculating or analyzing Regulatory Capital (Basel III credit risk): retail, wholesale, derivatives, repurchase agreements/margin loans, securities, and/or equities
Familiarity with using Reveleus (Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure - OFSAAI)
