Our client is a leading private bank located in San Francisco s Financial District that is experiencing rapid growth. They are looking to bring on a qualified Credit Analyst to join their team.


  • Process Loan Applications and ensure our commitment to our turnaround time. This includes, but is not limited to: Running appraisal reports, UCC searches, corporate name verifications, Bisys account inquiries, AFS account inquiries.

  • Communicate with the sales force (Relationship Managers, Preferred Bankers, Preferred Banking Offices), Credit, Credit Administration, Commercial Loan Operations, and Deposits on new and existing facilities. Underwrite loans, ensuring the loan file is complete and all documentation has been obtained.

  • Analyze business financial statements and tax returns using Moody s or similar financial analysis programs. Analyze cash flow reports, calculate financial ratios, recognize and describe trends and identify recurring and non recurring sources of cash flow and guarantor s ability to debt service.

  • Handle adverse action decisions by contacting the referring officer, which may also include communication with a client.

  • Maintain the quarterly bookings log and monitor trends from the monthly activity report.

  • Assist in monitoring the existing loan portfolio to ensure quality credit and avert any potential signs of default. Reviewing the TIMS report, OD report, Flag report.

  • Assist in any marketing efforts made through the Marketing department or the sales force. Run D&B selectory online calling lists. Assist with the annual business mailers.

  • Assist in training efforts to the sales force including designing training sessions and powerpoint presentations.

  • Assist with the loan portfolio by running credit applications, creating confirmation and welcome letters, and putting together the file.

  • Assist in identifying any improvements or changes we can make to the loan process to establish a best practice and make the processes we have in place more efficient.


  • BA/BS Preferred or 3-5 yrs related work experience

  • Advanced familiarity with Word, Excel, Powerpoint.

  • Experience with Moody s, Bukers, AFS Level III, AFS Xpress, Bisys, Elynx, TIMS, Smeadlink -- a plus.
