Communications Consultant 5 - Digital Editor/Publisher
Location: San Francisco, CA
Duration: 3 months
Responsible for supporting two small intranet sites for this financial service s managers and team members. Collaborate with the lead editor, lead content strategist, and web producer to create a quality site experience. Act as point of contact for all new content requests. Proactively identify and recommend relevant news, emails, and other resources for site inclusion. Align new content to the defined content strategy, brand voice, and editorial guidelines. Write/edit contextual descriptions for news stories and resources. Request image promotions. Publish content updates - including text, images, and documents - on SharePoint. Add appropriate tracking mechanisms and manage tracking tags for all site links. Communicate status of content to stakeholders.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. 5+ years of experience developing user-centered web content for multiple channels. Experience publishing content in a CMS - bonus points for SharePoint knowledge. Proactive and independent, with strong collaboration skills and an eye for detail. Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work through ambiguity. Strong organizational skills with proven experience working on multiple tasks simultaneously. Working knowledge of HTML, Microsoft Word (including Track Changes), and Microsoft Excel is required. Experience with digital design, content strategy, and information architecture principles is highly desired. Knowledge of financial services, HR, or related industries is a plus.
