A prominent international law firm in the Bay Area is in search of an Audit and Compliance Lead, Client Services that can collaborate with multiple levels in order to streamline billing processes. As one of the largest firms in the world, we are in search of an Audit and Compliance lead that has a hybrid of experiences in billing and audit. The Audit and Compliance lead will manage quality control, training, and workflow supervision. They will work directly with Billing Partners to facilitate the process of all aspects of client invoicing. This position requires direct involvement to seek out information from the Billing Partner and to act in a timely manner to accomplish this objective, with complete understanding of the Billing Policy to ensure compliance.
Knowledge & Skills:
Solid working knowledge of the billing function in a law firm environment.
Strong ability to lead, motivate and mentor staff personnel, inclusive of diligently addressing performance concerns and resolving conflict.
Proven ability to develop and convey to management and partners comprehensive information and analysis relative to business operations and strategies.
Ability to readily comprehend business objectives and correspondingly develop and execute appropriate strategies.
Highly disciplined approach to developing and executing departmental objectives.
Well developed and sophisticated organization, communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage relations at various levels within and outside an organization.

Requirements for the role:
BA or BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration. A minimum of 3 years supervisory experience; legal billing experience in a professional services organization.
Self-motivated and independent, able to work with a minimum of supervision
Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones in a matrix organization. Strong interpersonal skills, including pleasant nature and ability to influence others.
Organized, detailed oriented individual with good project management skills with multi-tasking
Strong client service orientation.
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Walking; fine hand manipulation (heavy typing, dialing, filing); sitting/standing/stooping; ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
