The Business Analyst for the Lifestyle vertical within the Digital Store Operations team will play a significant role in the development and execution of short and long-term business strategies for the creation of an e-commerce business plan which meets customer expectations across various channels, enabling the team to meet and exceed KPI (Traffic, Conversion, AOS, GMV, Margin, NPS) goals. The analyst will work collaboratively with the vertical General Manager an the full Lifestyle team to build an understanding of the customer needs and behaviours through a technology-enabled and data driven process. In this role it is important to operate like a retail business owner, hit sales targets, and use all available levers to make that happen. The analyst will be responsible for driving the GMV, ensuring great customer experience through positive customer metrics (NPS), and ensuring that customers who shop on our digital sites (site and app) have a great shopping experience. Fundamentally, the business analyst will transform business questions and requirements into actionable insights for the team so that we all meet and exceed our KPI goals.

Position Description

  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Walmart.com operational data analysis and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans

  • Designs and performs complex, multi-variable analyses to determine resolutions that clarify and address operational and business concerns; evaluating data to make recommendations for continued or new business direction; generating results using new or existing tools (for example, Access, Excel, function-specific tools); considering multiple scenarios and points of view and potential outcomes for recommending actions based on analysis; communicating and sharing recommendations and relevant information; and iterating analyses based on different business scenarios or assumptions.

  • Drives change in the development and improvement of new or existing operational tools, reports, and customer-facing functionality

  • Models compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity

  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions

  • Supports profit and loss (P&L) line for functional area or customer experience goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for varied audiences on analytical subject matter

  • Advanced SQL, Tableau, Omniture and Excel skills including statistics

  • Demonstrated ability to transform business requirements to specific analytical reports and tools

  • Must be flexible and comfortable in an extremely fast paced dynamic environment

  • Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail and a strong self-starter

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills

  • Masters degree in relevant subject matter and/or MBA
