Job Description:

The Lab Coordinator Software Engineer position services the equipment and processes necessary to support Latitude Communicator, Systems, and Sub-Systems testing activities by driving procurement, setup, and maintenance of custom hardware and software components both on and off-shore. Provides leadership and oversight with all lab activities, including development of automated software tools, server administration, equipment calibration and controls, as well as regulated documentation ownership. Lab coordinator works cross-functionally to support customer needs and partners with existing labs on enterprise initiatives.

  • Documents software development and/or test development by writing documents, reports, memos, change requests. Methods used are determined by approved procedures and standards

  • Continuously improves process and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processes.

  • Maintains collaborative working relationship with enterprise IT business partners, IT services (database, data center, servers, desktop, networking, security), and software vendors, as needed.

  • Understands customer's business implications and incorporates understanding into technical and process improvement recommendations.

  • Researches and applies new technologies, development techniques and best practices by leveraging experience, industry contacts, seminars, and books.

  • In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.

  • Provides support for development, test, and production applications. Experience in application development methodologies.

Education/Experience/Skills required:

  • 2 - 4 Years with BS in Computer Science, MIS or related degree

  • 0 - 2 Years with MS

  • Experience with software scripting (AutoIT)

  • Project Mgt and documentation

  • Experience/willingness to learn custom hardware components

  • Experience working in a regulated industry

  • Adaptability to new requests
