Role: Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced Program/Project Manager for our St. Louis campus. She / He must be able to manage and lead continuous improvement activities to achieve cost, quality and safety improvements.
In particular, we are seeking an individual with strong project management experience as well as Lean and Six Sigma expertise. Essential for the candidate is a positive record of accomplishment in implementing a continuous improvement program. The candidate will lead her/his own projects, coach other individuals running projects, and provide oversight of the overall continuous improvement program. The individual will support the local management team in driving a continuous improvement culture as well as providing visibility to senior management.
The candidate will report to the Site Director.
Working hours: Monday -Friday, 8-5
--Able to lead and execute complex process improvement projects.
--Run the local continuous improvement pipeline with the site management team including the selection and tracking of running projects
--Coach and mentor local project owners
--Identify, measure, and validate continuous improvement program progress. This includes working with site financial controller to quantify financial results
--Regular management updates to report on workstream progress and key deliverables. Preparation and delivery of status reports and update presentations.
--Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
--Demonstrated ability to work with and lead a diverse, cross-functional team for projects and initiatives
--Proven leadership in continuous improvement initiatives
--Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills; able to develop and deliver clear, crisp, and focused messages and presentations
--Ability to influence with indirect or no authority in a matrixed organization
--Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization
--Ability to teach and coach
--Self-starter with excellent organization skills
--5+ Years experience
--Strong Project Management skills
--Bachelor s Degree
--Proven leadership in Kaizen events and Green/Black Belt projects
--Lean and Six Sigma Black Belt Certified
--Strong process and operational experience in a manufacturing environment
--Understanding of cGMP requirements
--Scientific, Engineering, or other technical degree
--Financial acumen and ability to translate operational improvements to financial results
--Master s degree or MBA a plus
--SAP knowledge a plus
