We are looking to fill an immediate need for a Biologist - Entry with our client, a leader in the field of Biotechnology. The focus of their research is to develop technology that will enable farmers to grow more crops by applying biotechnology, genomics, big data and molecular breeding. Studies the basic principles of plant and animal life and the affects of varying environmental and physical conditions. Requires a bachelor's degree and 0-3 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Little creativity is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.


The STL Transformation Production Team is seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated and energetic individual to participate in the critical work of supplying R&D researchers with plant tissue culture media, buffers, and reagents. The successful candidate will help prepare and dispense culture media and reagents in a sterile environment, assay the products for quality and sterility, and track the production output in the database. The ability and willingness to interact with customers and team members are essential. The individual will also perform plant cell tissue culture activities. Evening or weekend work may be need occasionally.

Working hours: Regular Business Hours


Required Skills: A Bachelor's degree in chemistry, cellular biology, biotechnology or related field is required. Experience working in a laboratory environment is highly desirable. Attention to detail, database experience, ability to work in a team setting, and strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Plant cell tissue culture skills are a plus
