DescriptionEnsures that employees are following all safety, GMP, and quality regulations

Monitors all areas to ensure product quality and that the product specifications are being adhered to, including periodic audits of weights, throughput, or other important metrics and takes corrective action if necessary

Demonstrates and encourages strong inter-departmental communication with the Maintenance, Sanitation, Logistics, and Quality Control groups

Ensures that all necessary production paperwork is completed accurately and on time

Understands the production planner, planning process, and labor scheduling and regularly analyzes it for efficiency and accuracy

Assists with training and cross-training when necessary

Assists with providing breaks and lunches to employees, when necessary

Ensures that all areas of responsibility are kept as clean as possible during the run and at the conclusion of the run, that all equipment, raw materials, and waste are placed in their proper locations

Understand that all decisions made will impact multiple departments. If assistance is needed, contact the Production Manager

Responsible for conducting department safety meeting as needed

Responsible for conducting employee procedure training (or re-training) as needed

Responsible for keeping the employee attendance records up to date

Reviews time sheets daily to ensure employees are not abusing breaks or lunches and are reporting to work on time

Review daily production paperwork and analyze for deviations

Working hours: Flexible


- High school diploma or equivalent

- Ability to perform 75% of the jobs in his/her area of responsibility

- Ability to effectively plan, organize, prioritize work and show a bias towards action

- Ability to think strategically

- Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups

- Strong quantitative, interpersonal skills

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn new platforms
