Randstad is looking for IT Security Analysts for full time contracts in Richmond, VA.

Summary :

This position supports operations security initiatives with a focus on patching and configuration management for server and network infrastructure, middleware and other technologies. Successful candidate will assess, prioritize, communicate and track progress for multiple projects. Successful candidate will communicate regularly with asset owners providing actionable information and technical assistance, as needed. This position also involves day to day processing of security requests, the provisioning, administration and auditing of accounts and access rights, review of daily account management reports, desk checks, computer room audits, and general analysis of data security issues. Successful candidate will also work with a variety of systems including, but not limited to, SQL and other databases, privileged access management, identity and entitlement management and host intrusion detection.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Analyze the results of various security scans, process appraisals and other improvement efforts

  • To create actionable reports, document and track action plans in support of security improvement efforts

  • Receive and incorporate commitments from asset owners and responsible parties

  • Collect, compile and analyze asset information from multiple systems

  • Identify and assess new assets or changes to assets based on established change criteria and ensure asset profile information is up-to-date

  • Direct the development and/or maintenance of asset baselines and dependencies

  • Generate reports for quarterly SOX audits

  • Maintain NTFS permissions on Windows file servers

  • Obtain approval for security changes in the Unix environment

  • Create, administer and maintain Windows Active Directory, Vintela and Unix enabled AD users & groups

Other duties may be assigned as needed .

Education and/or Experience :

  • Minimum 2 - 4 years experience in security administration required

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT required

  • High School Education - minimum, college preferred

  • CISSP core body of knowledge desirable

  • CSSP or SANS Security Essentials Certification a plus

Computer Knowledge and Skills :

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills

  • Windows, Linux and other operating systems

  • Active Directory structure, account management and group policy

  • Microsoft Powershell

  • Database technologies and query language

  • Various access controls such as NTFS and group membership

  • Use of APIs for systems administration

  • Intrusion detection systems and principles

  • Privileged access management principles

  • Identity and entitlement management principles

  • Ticketing systems such as ServiceNow

  • Security standards such as ISO/IEC 27002 and NIST 800-53A

  • Vintela Authentication Services

  • Linux sudo functionality

Extremely Useful: Experience with any of the following:

  • Nexpose Rapid7 Vulnerability Scanner

  • Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls

  • Active Directory and Group Policy

  • Python

  • Regular Expressions

Language Skills :

  • Effectively articulate priorities, goals and action plans across multiple teams

  • Read, understand and interpret for others the company s security policies and standards as well as industry best practices

  • Manage work from a project perspective by incorporating concepts regarding scope, cost and timelines as well as communication, change and resource planning

  • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

  • Work as part of a team, but also able to work independently
