Global Payroll Manager

SaaS technology company in mid-peninsula is searching for a Global Payroll Manager for their HR Team to manage the daily operations of the international and US payroll teams to ensure all payments are made to 750+ employees in 27 countries, ensuring accurate, timely processing of payroll in accordance with all federal, state and local tax regulations as well as local country tax regulations. In addition,they will be responsible for making recommendations to improve and enhance the department, prepare and develop a variety of reports for external and internal resources, ensure accurate tax filings as well as establishing the guidelines and procedures for the payroll department.

The ideal candidate is one who demonstrates a strong knowledge of payroll processes with an attention to detail, absolute discretion and strong collaboration/managerial skills. Candidate also needs to include knowledge of how to post stock transactions that comply with federal and state tax regulations as well as local country tax regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff of 2 Payroll Administrators

  • Manage the disbursement of US and international payrolls, including benefits and taxes to 750+ employees consistent with federal, state, and local county regulations

  • Perform monthly/transactional SOX review to ensure payroll processes are compliant with established department controls

  • Ensure the processing of new hires, temporary workers, transfers, promotions and terminations are completed accurately, timely, that is in regulatory compliance and follows internal procedures that is modeled after best practices

  • Manage reporting from ADP Workforce Now and ADP Streamline's 3rd party local payroll providers as it relates to management reports to include but not limited to gross payroll, tax deductions, benefit deductions and employee status change requests

  • Lead, recommend and participate in projects to continually review and improve current processes

  • Manage and audit W-2s and yearly administration of payroll in preparation of the following calendar year

  • Build and nurture strong working relationships with all levels of the organization. Work closely with key clients, 3rd party providers, HR, Finance, Accounting, and others to resolve issues and drive end-to-end process improvements

  • Partner with Stock Administrator to manage the accurate posting of RSU releases and exercise of stock options for all international stock plan participants

  • Maintain communication with payroll service providers regarding software updates and new products available to be able to initiate the use of new features

  • Along with HR, oversight of 401(k) contributions, loan payments and match

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8+ years global payroll experience with at least 5 years of proven management/leadership responsibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar

  • ADP Workforce Now experience required

  • Must have understanding and strong knowledge of payroll and stock taxation

  • Strong knowledge of payroll related technology solutions

  • Advanced analytical skills required

  • CPP designation is a plus

  • ADP Streamline experience is a plus

  • Experience w/ SaaS industry & products is a plus
