Jr. 3D Artist with strengths in Hard Surface Modeling needed for Contract Opportunity with Randstad Technologies client in Redmond, WA.
In this role you will be working very closely with the Sr. Artists and Art Director to provide photo-realistic assets for a well known AAA franchise. To be qualified for this role you must have:
3-5 yrs of game production experience (AAA titles)
Very good understanding of 3D work
Bachelor s degree in Fine Arts, Architecture or related field and/or certificate of completion in 3D preferred.
Portfolio - hard surface experience; cars, airplanes, buildings, things that exist in real life and ideally the photo reference; understand the translation from 2D to 3D
In this role you will:
Create the build sheet for assets. The build sheet is what marries the numerical data to the asset
Interact with Art Director or one of his direct reports/Sr. Artists
Have a stand-up every morning; will be doing a lot of pre-production and QA work
Create the build for the external developers which involves taking reference and numerical data and compiling it into the build sheet
Parse photo reference and influence the team to build efficiently
The External Developers send the rough product back and this person will then take the returned product for QA
Identify any bugs or issues and send back to Ex-Devs for polishing.
Once the product is returns, if up to par, this person submits to the Art Lead.
