We are looking for a polished, professional hard working Accounts Payable Professional. This would start out as a temporary position and would open the door to transition on permanently based on work performance and attendance. The ideal candidate for this role will be outgoing, upbeat and not afraid to go get the necessary information in order to get his/her job done.

Summary

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for providing support to the Controller. Working on a small accounting team, this individual will take on the responsibilities of accounts payable. On a daily basis the individual will be responsible for matching purchase orders, invoices and receivers, as well as enter data into Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets in order to track costs.

Management Style

This position reports to the Controller who is very laid back in his management approach. He cares about his employees and it is reflective in the open door policy he has. He challenges his employees on a daily basis for the purpose of expanding their skills through effectively asking questions.

Working hours: Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm

Skills:

Primary responsibilities of the Accounting Clerk

--Process approximately 350-400 invoices per week

--Assist with billing and accounts receivable as needed

--Ensure correct classification on all invoices

--Match purchase orders, invoices and receivers

--Work in Microsoft Excel in order to track financials

--Assist Controller with sales tax

Requirements of the Accounts Payable Clerk

--Minimum of 2 year of experience in accounts payable role OR 1 year of experience handling 3 way matching

--Familiar with Manufacturing or Distribution Industry accounting functions is preferred

--Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

--Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel required)

--Outgoing, dependable candidate
