Randstad Technologies is looking a Data Governance Policy and Procedure Analyst to support our client s expanding data Governance Program.
This Policy and Procedure analyst work to ensure that company procedures and policies are understood by every employee affected by our Data governance program. This Analyst will work with the business and IT in writing and maintaining the evolving data entry policies and procedures across the organization. This is a business Analyst role that supports the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) IT team as it operationalizes an enterprise approach to data governance. Duties include writing, maintaining and educating staff abut policies, proceeds and workflow. Business-facing duties include interfacing with end user work groups to understand requirements, and helping to define, develop and implement data management policies and procedures within targeted business and data domains.
This person will have general knowledge and understanding of healthcare, Human Resources practices, policy and procedure document requirements and the importance of high quality data and information. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be a self-starter and problem solver. Must be able to work in a matrix environment, and have knowledge of system development lifecycles.
Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent experience with emphasis in at least one or more of the following areas of focus: Data Management, MIS, Strategy, Policy Administration, and/or other data-related or compliance fields.
Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Policy and procedure, technical writing, data quality & compliance or related field. Proven experience creating tangible solutions.
Preferred experience: Healthcare experience or background, Information Management/Data acquisition, documentation and Technical writing and Informatics Experience.
Help define and implement data management policies and procedures within their identified business domains
Writing and maintaining Policies and Procedures
Define access, quality and usage guidelines for data
Gather current state process and system analysis information, including interaction with data owners and stewards within pertinent company business groups
Creating Workflow Documentation
Identify and creating gap conflicts between current state and polices
Manage and document metadata including business definitions and the sourcing of data
Escalate issues to the Data Governance Manager as appropriate
Key Skills and Experience:
Ability to articulate multiple dimensions of data quality (completeness, accuracy, reliability, validity, timeliness, consistency, etc) and give examples of cleansing data
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Ability to write clear, simple and comprehensive Technical Polices
Understanding of master data management, 360-degree view of data, and golden record concepts is a plus
Experience acting as a data steward in a data governance team.
