The US Business Travel Compliance Tax Officer will report to the Payroll Tax Compliance Officer, and be responsible for: partnering with third party vendor for Global Business Travel, and Corporate Tax; ensure tax calculations and filings are processed accurately and timely in order to protect from any incurred tax liabilities due to employee business travel globally and domestically. This incumbent must possess in-depth Federal, State, Local Tax Compliance, including Year-End W-2 Wage and Tax Statements.

Provide Tax expertise and support for the Payroll process to ensure compliance within all government agencies. This position is responsible for the administration of tax compliance support.

Major Functions

· Manage the corporation s global payroll tax compliance, in adherence with federal, state, and local laws, ensuring the inclusion of best practices.

· Review & Perform Global Business Travel tax calculations processed by third party vendor applying Foreign Exchange rates and various calculation methodologies for various wage types (Supplemental, Aggregate, and Annualized)

· Lead in the effective communication to Senior Executive Employees in responding to complex tax inquiries

· Draft clear, concise, and succinct communication notices to employees regarding tax adjustments and tax updates

· Ensure completion of employee tax setups are compliant across all jurisdictions

· Ensures accurate employee tax data in coordination with the Legal and Corporate Tax Departments

· Independently monitors progress including accountability for effective and efficient processes and services

· Research and resolve all incoming tax correspondence from Federal, State & Local tax agencies along with any internal inquiries as it applies to Corporate Tax Audit Request

· Ability to understand and prepare Tax Filings and Tax Amendments, when necessary

· · Demonstrated ability to effectively liaison with all Tax Partners in Corporate Tax and Payroll Tax, and Operations

· Active participation in all successful resolution of Tax Audits & Tax Warrants with full mitigation of risk and penalty (performing in-depth analysis and reconciliation of all tax data-(transcripts, SOD s, tax returns, W-2, and W-2s) in relation to Global Business Travel

· Recommends and implements process changes to improve services and systems

· Actively participate in project planning to ensure all timelines are achievable and met according to work plans

· Synthesize and analyze information into summary reports as part of overall project requirements

· Provide spreadsheet expertise for reporting and statistical analysis purposes

· Strong Project Management Skills

· Keeping current on tax releases through communication with KPMG, EY, and other tax experts

· Quality Control Review of Table Maintenance changes resulting from Tax Patch update

· Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

· 5+ years Multi-State Payroll Tax experience, Multi-State Payroll Tax background preferred, or equivalent

· 5+ years Integrated Payroll System experience, Integrated Payroll System (SAP, PeopleSoft, ADP) is preferred, or equivalent

· 5+ years of general accounting related experience in at least one of the following:

o Call Center/Customer Service Environment

o Payroll Administration

o Benefits Administration

o Human Resources

o Tax and/or Accounting/Finance

· Advanced knowledge of US payroll taxation and Tax Filings/Amendments and W-2 s, in both purpose and application

· Experience in using PeopleSoft or another HRMS in support of payroll tax work in a high volume environment

· Knowledge of PeopleSoft Query preferred

· Leadership skills demonstrated

· Strong analytical and technical skills; knowledge of benchmarking processes and solutions

· Models importance of controls and compliance in payroll and payroll tax work

· Superior attention to detail and tenacity to follow through and resolve outstanding issues

· Strong organizational skills and able to multitask, meeting multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment with changing and competing initiatives

· Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, strong client focus

· Developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of management

· Ability to quickly absorb product knowledge, process information; apply appropriately to meet client s needs.

· Focused attention to customer service and organizational skills

· Ability to manage effectively in complexity and work against the big picture

· Demonstrated Microsoft Suite experience with very strong Excel skills

· Must be both a team player and a self-managed individual, with ability to work in a virtual environment

Unique Requirements

· Minimum of a Bachelor s degree preferred in related field (Tax, Finance, Accounting, etc.)

· 5+ years proven Global Tax experience including Multi-State

· Third-party tax filing experience preferred

· Ability to manage and motivate self in a high volume, fast paced environment

· Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects
