What you will be doing :

In this role you will be assisting Medicaid Choice members with inquiries regarding their policies. You will be responsible to update internal systems with a record of each call, and to make any changes as necessary.

This is a temp to permanent opportunity. Once training is completed, your initial 90 days will be working in the call center in downtown Manhattan. Once converted to a permanent full time employee you will be required to work from home and remain on a set schedule.

Job Description :

  • Responds and makes a best effort to resolve all callers' inquires and needs, including those concerning programs such as Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and Family Health Plus.

  • Assists customers including prospective enrollees and people assisting enrollees or acting on their behalf, via the phone, mail, or web in accordance with all Department and performance standards, policy and procedures, and protocols.

  • Provides information and direction to callers regarding mail-in and telephone renewals, the Premium Assistance and FHP Buy-In Programs, and other programs as applicable.

  • Facilitates the fulfillment of caller requests for documents via mail, fax, email, or download.

  • Responds to all inquiries consistent with confidentiality and privacy policies and refers callers to alternate sources when appropriate.

  • Escalates calls or issues to the Call Center Lead for resolution as needed.

  • Enters appropriate data and information into the applicable automated systems for processing renewals and uses every call as an opportunity to provide education, support, and confirms accuracy of customer information in Company and state systems.

  • Facilitates translation services for non-English speaking callers according to procedures.

  • Attends meetings and trainings, as requested and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Working hours : Monday through Saturday, availability for any 8 hour shift between 8AM and 8PM

Requirements :

Must be bilingual, and fluent, in both English and Russian

*Must be able to pass a typing assessment at 35 words per minute, as well as a Microsoft Word 2013 and Customer Service assessment at 70% or higher.

Preferred Education / Experience:

--High School Diploma, or equivalent, required

--Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

Pay Rate : $16.00 per hour, Full time

Duration : Temp to permanent; temp period for 90 days after training is completed.

Training Hours : 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM M-F for 3 weeks, including shadowing

Shift Required :

11:00 AM - 8:00 PM M-F after training has been completed. All CSRs will eventually move to an early shift and be required to work on Saturday. Shifts are either 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, M-F and Saturday 10:00 AM -6:00 PM (w/Wed, Thurs, or Friday off). All schedules are subject to change.
