The Manager of US Employee Benefits will manage and implement all benefit programs, including health & welfare, closed pension plan and 401(k). He or she will be primary contact for administration and ensuring compliance with all federal and state guidelines and regulations. He or she will lead a team that will interact with employees and both internal and external partners.
Administers employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; basic hospital, medical, surgical, and major medical plans; term life insurance plans, closed pension plan and 401(k). Is aware of competitive benchmarks and practices and analyzes the benchmarks against the current plans. Implements approved new plans and changes. Works with consultants to prepare announcement material, booklets, and other media for communicating new plans to employees. Revises and reissues all communications material on benefits as needed. Advises and counsels employees and HR community on existing benefits. Responsible for ensuring that all company policies, plan documents, SPDs, governmental reporting, and associate communications necessary to support company benefits programs meet the appropriate federal, state and local requirements. Builds and maintains proactive partnerships with all internal and external partners in order to identify and understand the business needs. Cascade and resolve escalated issues through creative, efficient and effective thought processes, resources and tools. Understands how the benefits supports the value proposition for our employees. Maintains benefits staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. Works closely with Wellness Manager to promote Healthy company goals.
Working hours: Monday-Friday 9:30-5:30
A bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience in Benefits Administration.
Must demonstrate prior experience in succeeding in a face-paced work environment.
Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.
Demonstrated analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
Expert project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments and employees, in a team-oriented environment.
Highly computer literate in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
Previous management or leadership experience required.
CEBS certification preferred.
