Manager of Corporate FP&A - Life Science, Boston area
$110 - 135k Base + Bonus
The Manager of Corporate FP&A is responsible for financial management of the company s Global Functions (including IT). The individual will oversee capital and operating budgets including monthly financial analysis, monthly financial close, periodic forecasting, annual planning and ad hoc business analysis.
Lead the monthly expense review process for all departments. Review actual monthly performance against departmental budgets and provide variance commentary.
Lead the development of the AOP, multi-year strategic plan and periodic forecasts.
Develop strong business partnerships to ensure budgets fully reflect the potential financial impact of ongoing costs and new business initiatives.
Build financial models and financial performance metrics that are integrated with operational data and accurate forecasting capabilities to drive process improvements in a proactive manner.
Prepare presentations and analysis for senior leadership to relay understanding of business drivers and overall performance.
Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators; identify opportunities for financial improvement and provide recommendations to management.
Work with business partners to manage/drive cost savings and revenue opportunities.
Provide financial analysis/modeling support to business managers in preparation of business cases to support Capital Appropriations Requests.
Support ad-hoc requests.
Bachelors degree preferably a major in Accounting or Finance.
6 years of accounting/finance experience is required. A minimum of 2 years management experience
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proven track record of effective performance management.
Advanced financial modeling skills working in Excel and presentation skills with PowerPoint
A strong proficiency with financial systems (SAP/BPC experience is ideal).
Candidate must possess excellent analytical skills, knowledge of accounting practices, business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills are required.
