Scope of work:
This role will primarily be focused on the product support activities required to successfully deliver engine products through our NPI process. This includes activities such as facilitating communications between the development and publications teams, validation of troubleshooting and repair documentation, performing audits of the assembled product to evaluate system robustness and serviceability, etc. Periodic support of post-NPI products may be required as workload cycles dictate. This position will be focused on our 9L and larger engine products and may include diesel and gas products as well as off-board electronic systems.
A minimum of 3 years of experience related to product support processes in either NPI or post-NPI roles, experience in heavy duty diesel or gas combustion engine operations and support. Excellent verbal and written communications skills along with process discipline are also required in this role to successfully deliver our products to market within the aggressive timeframes established by our product programs.
4 year technical degree in an area applicable to engine or electronics technology. Familiarity with Caterpillar s NPI processes through multiple product programs is highly desired.
