SCCM Engineer


-Oversee operations of Converged Infrastructure (CI)

-Provide direction and advice pertaining to design and configuration of CI

-Provide support assistance to operational groups utilizing CI

-Provide direction and advice pertaining to capacity planning

-Provide direction and support to ensure CI remains flexible and capable of fulfilling future directions

-Provide direction and advice pertaining to future CI installations and design

-Provide direction to automate and orchestrate future use of CI


-Bachelor s Degree or equivalent experience

-10 to 15 years Infrastructure experience

-3 to 5 years of experience working with SCCM

-Enterprise level experience maintaining/enhancing Microsoft\ s SCCM platform

-Enterprise level experience planning/creating/deploying SCCM packages to devices on network

-Enterprise level experience deploying SCCM OSD Task Sequences

-Enterprise level experience deploying software vendor security updates/patches with SCCMs Software Updates

-Enterprise level experience developing SCCM reports

-Experience developing and maintaining system documentation for SCCM in enterprise


-MCSE highly desired

-Experience designing, deploying, and troubleshooting an enterprise SCCM infrastructure

Knowledge in the following:

-Windows Server 2003 / 2008 - Security / Administration / Support - Minimum 400+ servers

-Active Directory ( AD ) - Group Policies / Certificate Services / Security

-Web Security - Firewalls / Web Filtering / Internet Information Services ( IIS )

-Engineering and operational background supporting Microsoft Exchange (2010, 2007 or 2003 releases)

-Architecture: Design and implement Microsoft Active Directory Domain Services utilizing Microsoft Best Practices

-Administration of E-mail messaging environment including SMTP and MAPI using Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 and BES

-Windows Server Administration in an Active Directory environment using Windows Server

2003 and 2008; including IIS, Terminal Services/Remote Desktop Services, and Certificate Services

-Supporting Domain networking services such as DNS, DDNS, DHCP, WINS, and WPA2

-Supporting Internet and Intranet services including Internet Access, OWA, SharePoint Services, External Web Servers, and the Corporate Intranet

-Supporting a VMWare ESX Clustered Environment

-Strong knowledge of Windows 2003/2008 Active Directory Infrastructure to include: Physical and Logical components, Partitions, FSMO Roles, DC & GC Specifics, Replication topologies and technologies, Active Directory Administration and Delegation, Active Directory Domain Migrations, and DFS.

-Develop and maintain AD and LDAP management tools and processes

-Determine, record, and publish metrics that drive DS service performance and reliability

-TCP/IP, DNS, Routing Protocols, Switching

-SharePoint Administration - Installation, configuration, upgrades/updates and support

SharePoint 2010 farms

-Create system documentation and standard operating procedures for administration of SharePoint farms

-Disaster Recovery and High Availability Planning, Configuration, and Testing

-Tier 2/3 escalation and support activities (on-call)

-Deploy and configure search, sites, lists, web parts, content types, workflows, etc.

-Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written

-Ability to work independently to achieve goals

-Ability to work as part of a strong technical delivery team to delivery computing needs.
