Immediate need for a Continuous Improvement Engineer located near Milwaukee, WI for a highly regarded Industrial Manufacturer. This role is responsible to actively seek cost savings and productivity improvement opportunities with the business and manufacturing units. Candidates must have an Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline from a four-year college or university and at least three (3) years of CI or Process experience in a manufacturing setting to be considered. Responsibilities for the Continuous Improvement Engineer

  • Actively seek cost savings and productivity improvement opportunities with the business units

  • Address and resolve production problems related to product design and supplier components

  • Execute and support Corporate LEAD (Lean Enterprise Across Disciplines) objectives of improving Culture, Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost

  • Use Lean manufacturing tools and processes to optimize facility layouts for efficiency improvements

  • Investigate new tooling methods, machine tool innovations and improvements in assembly and testing techniques

  • Facilitate kaizen events in a manufacturing environment to drive improvements on Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Requirements for the Continuous Improvement Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required (Industrial Engineering is preferred)

  • Must have at least (3) three years' experience in a Manufacturing setting

  • Demonstrated drive for continuous improvement

  • Strong understanding of lean tools (error proofing, flow, 5S, takt time, 8D, standard work, etc.)

  • Familiarity with workstation design and ergonomics is highly prefered
