The objectives of this business requirements document is to identify the necessary business needs resulting from changes introduced by Single Security Initiative that impact the Single Family Finance application functionality, (e.g., Phoenix SFTA and Loan Amortization) as follows:

  • Alignment -The pool number used for recording the securitized loans that have been purchased by Freddie Mac, needs to be aligned to the upstream (new/updated) pool structure comprising of pool prefix and pool number columns.

  • 10-Year Product - The business must have the capability to properly identify record, account for and perform business calculations on a new 10-Year financial product.

  • Exchange -- The business must distinguish between newly issued 55-day securities and the exchange of a legacy 45-day PC for a 55-day security.

  • New Issuances - When a 55-day security is issued, the business must properly identify the security as a 55-day security (versus 45- or 75-day) to classify Due to Investor as well as for JE and reporting purposes. The business must distinguish between newly issued 55-day securities and commingled securities. 55-Day Cash and Guarantor issuances need to be identifiable separately from 55-Day Guarantor (i.e., multi-issuer vs. single issuer).

  • Commingled Resecuritizations - The SF Accounting business area does not expect any impacts from this new capability.

Skill Level: Senior (7+ yrs.)

Statement of Work:

  • Work with key stakeholders across Single Family and Finance to determine data and reporting needs related to Single Family Transaction Accounting Application.

  • Consolidate key stakeholders requirements and draft single business requirements for accounting and reporting applications

  • Assist in planning and development of test cases, UAT testing approach and documentation of results; Maintain testing artifacts

  • Assist in documenting decisions, data differences, exceptions and conclusions drawn throughout iterations; track data related issues on a daily basis

  • Research data element and report differences using SQL and or SAS.

  • Participate with the execution of User Acceptance Testing

  • Assist in the research of issues and requirement differences as needed.


  • Strong attention to detail, time management, troubleshooting, analytical, verbal and written communication skills

  • Work independently, as well as in a team environment - takes initiative to complete activities

  • Self-starter. Ability to work under pressure to deadline.

  • Extensive experience analyzing data and documenting business area results, etc.

  • Sr. Business Analyst with 7-10 years of experience.

  • Knowledge of querying tools like SAS, Rapid SQL etc.

  • Knowledge of Freddie Mac business and data architecture (CDW) a plus

  • Ability to write SQL

  • Experience testing data

  • Strong data research skills including controls assessments.
