Our Rockville Maryland Federal client has an immediate long term opening for a Service Portfolio Manager.
U.S. Citizens ONLY due to a federal requirement.
Duties include but not limited to;
IT Service Management implementation professional. Hands on experience in leading an organization from a basic ITIL framework to a full service management implementation. Expertise in technical, business, operational and/or managerial aspects for the design and implementation of ITIL Service Support. Lead, manage, and grow the existing basic ITSM environment into a fully ITIL compliant ITSM following the Telesis IT Service Portfolio Management Methodology.
Ensure the alignment of implemented processes with the respective enabling of tools; be the driver of the process and the tool implementation. Collect data, provides analysis of information and recommendations for processes improvement. Develop ITSM process documentation. Responsible for definition, execution and implementation of assigned ITSM processes as part of the overall ITSM implementation.
Key activities for this position include:
Provide technical or operational subject matter expertise.
Provide input into the design of the procedures, tools or organization.
Assists in the development of ITSM solutions by providing specialized expertise.
Supports the development and execution of test scenarios designed to validate the functionality of the design.
Validates the Design and Implementation Team designs for processes, tools and organization and any recommendations.
Provides consultative and facilitation support to the Implementation Project Teams.
Coaches team members in specialized skill sets if required.
Key skills for this role are:
Expertise in Technical Architecture, Process Architecture, Leadership, ITIL/ITSM,and/or Opertational expertise.
Education: Bachelor degree in related field plus three years experience in ITIL implementation. (7 years total).
