Job Description:

Client has several immediate openings for talented mid-level Project Scheduler / Project Controls Analysts to join our growing Federal Government Program Management Practice. Must be a U.S. citizen.

Successful candidates must be professional and highly motivated; possessing the minimum qualifications described below. The Project Scheduler / Project Controls Analyst performance description includes, but is not be limited to the following responsibilities:


· Sustain the CPM Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and IT project sub schedules, aligned with the WBS, using Microsoft Project and/or Oracle Primavera

· Create/sustain project management dashboard milestones and project information

· Coordinate schedule milestones, perform basic earned value and risk management analysis in a dynamic requirements environment

· Calculate variances and alert stakeholders of negative risk, and remediation recommendations

· Perform data entry, create MS Excel calculations and reports, utilize MS Access as needed

· Provide creative and focused project management consulting support

· Proactively identify requirement challenges and creative recommendations with an entrepreneurial spirit

· Proactively communicate and coordinate with executives, key stakeholders, team members, and vendors

· Contribute to program/project artifacts and reports; lead formal/informal briefings and reports

· Coordinate project management support activities, including meetings across multiple work streams

· Adhere to corporate and For Official Use Only (FOUO) work environment protocols

· Manage and execute multiple concurrent tasks successfully; skillfully de-conflict multiple demands from peer stakeholders

· Provided Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) of deliverables from IT and other vendors


· BA/BS degree in management, business, IT, aerospace, or engineering;

· 1 year of resource-loaded CPM scheduling experience with Oracle Primavera / MS Project in the past 5 years

· 2 years of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) project scheduling experience

· 5 years of PMO experience: Project Manager, Project Scheduler / Project Controls, or key PMO support member

· Advanced Excel user, intermediate PowerPoint user, beginner Access user

· Demonstrated brainstorming, analytical reasoning, and problem solving skills

· Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team member

· Possess professional written and verbal communication skills

· High emotional intelligence and intellectual/professional curiosity


· Prior experience with FAA environment, processes, WBS, and project life cycle; or familiarity with aerospace IT projects

· Experience in project management/coordination best practices such as Agile project management

· Oracle Primavera Certified Implementation Specialist, PMI PMP Certification, or AACE EVP Certifications are a plus
