Job Description: Plan and execute one or more complex sized IT projects. Accountable for overall delivery of IT project from planning to close out. Engage with business to understand the business needs and scope the project. Work with IT Senior Management to plan the delivery. Negotiate with business on Cost, Scope and Schedule based on the constraints. Monitor the progress and manage the project to successfully meet the project objectives. Manage and mitigate the risks of the project. As part of risk management, be compliant to the expected quality and controls dictated by project delivery methodology and other control frameworks.
Single Family Purchase delivery services unit contains several complex applications. Most of the projects that are planned are highly integrated with other projects/applications/systems. PM should have ability to execute the project by properly identifying the dependencies, and plan to execute project with changing dependencies and changing business needs.
o Successfully manage the project delivery.
o Development dashboard and other project metrics reports as needed senior management.
o Resolve/escalate issues and risks
o Projects are part of large initiative and programs. There are always constant changes from business and operations. Manage the changes through good Change Management Process.
o Provide senior management status on critical path, delivery trends, and escalate issues and risks requiring attention based on analysis of project delivery progress
o Maintain quality and control standards to pass audits and OQC reviews.
o Other responsibilities as assigned
o 10+ yrs of PM experience in planning and executing IT projects, and overall 10-15 years of software lifecycle experience
o Experience in running complex project(s) with mid-large size budget (2-5 Million$) and scope spanning across several systems, strong ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously
o Experience in handling multiple projects in parallel
o Accomplished communication skills, comfortable and effective speaking with all levels of management; facilitation, coaching and training expertise;
o Ability to influence business and IT partners.
o Experience in executing projects using Systems Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) ( Agile is bonus)
o Experience in managing Application Development projects that involves understanding of Infrastructure, and Custom Development.
o Strong leaders with result oriented, deadlines driven and still can gel well with team leads and vendors.
o Strong experience in PM Processes - Budget Management and Resource Management, Communication, Risk Management, Scope and Change Request Management, Schedule Management, and Internal Controls and Quality Management.
o Must have excellent communications, influencing and collaboration skills
o Must have good organization, presentation, and customer service skills
o Ability to detect and solve project issues and risks effectively
o Clear sense of business and technology dependencies and ability to reflect in plans
o Tool skill sets - ClearQuest, ClearCase, VISIO, Microsoft Project, IBM Rational DOORS, Remedy, CTT, MS Excel, Planview
o 4 year Bachelors degree is required (preferred if in Management and/or Technology disciplines) and Advanced degree is preferred
o PMP is preferred but not necessary
o Previous CLIENT experience is preferred
