SQL Reporting Analyst

Our client in The Toledo, OH area is looking for 2 sharp and dynamic individuals who have 18 months to 2 years of experience developing and creating SQL reports. The SQL Reporting Analyst will work with colleagues as well as management to share ideas, feedback and suggestions for creating various reports needed.

This individual will work in a team environment and interface to both end users and .NET Developers to construct various reports delivered to management and clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide testing on our internal auditing application by defining testing strategies and executing system and regression testing.

  • Implement defined procedures to plan, design, implement, execute, evaluate and report results of testing under minimal supervision for projects of all scopes including pharmacy, medical and eligibility data.

  • Deliver assignments within specified time frames, adhering to all established methodologies, standards, and guidelines individually or as a member of a project team.

  • Implement defined procedures designed to avoid the creation of defects (e.g., requirements review) under minimal supervision for projects of all scopes.

  • Participate and advise during requirements and design reviews to thoroughly understand business needs to ensure comprehensive testing scenarios are performed.

  • Obtain, maintain and document (application) system domain knowledge necessary to perform defined procedures efficiently and effectively.

  • Work with the application developers to quickly capture the major business functions and technology underpinnings to be able to design and implement tests of system functionality that exercise all critical inter-system integration points.

  • Coordinate efforts with other members responsible for building and maintaining the application production environment.

  • Report, monitor, and verify application project defects as necessary.

  • Be accountable for projects of high complexity, high risk, and high visibility; handle multiple projects of varied complexity simultaneously; provide feedback on and suggestions for improving Procedures to Project Leads and Technical Leads.

  • Work with Development and teams to provide quick resolution, working with SQL: SSIS, SSRS. Support mainframe application to perform back-end execution.

  • Provide process improvement ideas to create a superior centralized team.

  • Work with Business Partners to provide support and testing knowledge at project level milestones. Apply /QC concepts and techniques within one or more application development methodologies.

Job Requirements

  • Expert knowledge in SQL reporting practices including reading, writing and modifying SQL scripts.

  • Ability to write dynamic SQL queries that run against multiple databases.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Demonstrates the ability to document processes in detail and accurately

  • Strong business writing skills and documentation skills.
