Leading manufacturer is looking to hire a sharp Sales Manager. This opportunity will be located in the Livonia, Michigan area. The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing established accounts in greater Detroit, Saginaw and Traverse City area, so candidates willing to travel 1 or 2 nights a week is required and company car will be provided. We are looking for candidates that experience selling B2B or through distributors or direct to industrial accounts or manufactures. Strong account management experience. Candidates that possess experience selling automotive parts, components, HVAC or plumbing or industrial products are encourage to apply. This role comes with an excellent compensation plan ranging from $60k to $65k plus a target bonus opportunity of 15% along with a company car. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities for the Sales Manager

  • Initiate customer contact in order to execute area sales action plan to meet and/or increase financial goals for the market

  • Maintain customer base and relationships to meet or exceed sales goals through continuous follow up on issues, entertainment and regular scheduled visits

  • Understand and utilize management reports such as: Performance measures, Sales and Departmental budgets, Income statement, Customer statements etc.

  • Effectively utilizes departmental budget to maximize sales revenue

  • Works with operations management in development, execution and achievement of the sales budget and sales action plan

  • Development and execution of the sales action plan for company products

  • Maximize operating contribution in conjunction with local management

Requirements for the Sales Manager

  • Bachelor s degree is preferred but not required

  • Candidates must be highly proficient with Excel, utilizing pivot tables and V-look up etc.

  • Clean driving record is mandatory and ability to travel one or two nights a week

  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US
