One of the nation s largest and fastest growing tier 1 automotive suppliers is in need of an Human Resource Generalist. This HR Generalist position is a middle-level position and is expected to possess the following skills and abilities to perform the following functions the company has determined are essential to this position. Must have 3 to 5 years of experience working in Human Resources, office management, or similar roles with a technical engineering center/manufacturing or OEM Automotive Supplier. Posses excellent written and verbal communication skills, including application of software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Web-based company systems). Extremely detail oriented; accurate and comfortable with data analysis and exposure to continuous improvement helpful.
Responsibilities for the Human Resource Generalist
Maintain relationships with and use external and internal resources to research and identify affecting issues; collect and compile information, conduct analysis and draft recommendations to management
Under the direction of management, continuously maintain operational human resources policies and procedures by monitoring environmental, organizational, and managerial and employee factors affecting the company.
Assist with conducting effective investigations, resolving conflicts, and fulfilling employee requests or inquiries.
Responds to routine benefits and payroll questions for managers and employees, and assists with problem solving.
Supports new hire onboarding activities from point of offer to date of hire; ensuring all necessary forms and documents are completed and returned.
Validates employee information in accordance with data information systems and e-verify process; assists with scheduling sessions, room reservations, circulates participant invitations, and deploys welcome messages.
Works with the hiring management team, conduct Job Analysis and labor market reviews to provide input, draft and maintain Job Descriptions and Specifications and other related documentation.
Requirements for the Human Resource Generalist
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced environment where constructive criticism is encouraged.
Must be able to work on multiple assignments at once, and complete assignments within deadline and budget (if applicable) with satisfactory quality.
Must perform job duties onsite, except those duties that are customarily or by their nature performed offsite (for example, offsite customer visits).
Must be committed to a high standard of safety, and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws and all company safety policies.
