DescriptionWe are assisting a leading Global chemical distribution and specialty manufacturing to hire their next superstar! We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the District Operations Manager position within the company. Now is the time to join this global leader!
Coordinate all facility operations between Production departments, Shipping, Receiving, Quality Control, Laboratory, Inventory and Maintenance.
Direct supervision of managers.
Emergency response and plant security. Develop "on-call" list and ensure availability of personnel to respond 24 hours per day.
Conduct unscheduled plant tours to ensure safety and compliance.
Lead manager meetings.
Work with managers to solve all plant production and communication problems looking for safer, more efficient, quality-oriented solutions.

Alternate to this position in case of emergencies is the Assistant Operations Manager or Warehouse Manager (as applicable by facility).
Walk facilities daily to maintain knowledge of facility operations.
Plant maintenance and adherence to PM schedules.
II.QUALITY CONTROL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure plant is operated in compliance with all ISO quality system requirements
Oversee Lab, Quality Control and the development of specifications and SOPs. (Where applicable)
QC Audits and customer QC questionnaires.
Directly responsible for resolution of all facility Quality Control problems.
Ensure compliance to and participation in Job 7 and CAPA quality initiatives.
Working hours: 8-5
IV. REGULATORY RESPONSIBILITY
Ensure Waste is handled in compliance with EPA and other regulations. As trained in Hazardous Waste, Ensure that all functions assigned are completed in full compliance with hazardous waste regulations. These functions may include proper handling, documenting and inspecting of Hazardous Waste.
Oversee the shipping and paperwork on all wastewater shipments.
Handling audits by local, state and federal regulatory agencies.
Assist in overall DOT compliance with regard to all Drivers and equipment.
Administer all employee training and Hazard Communication training either directly or through delegates. Ensure completion on a timely and compliant basis.
VII. ACCOUNTABILITY Operations Manager is accountable to the Facility Branch Manager and Director of Operations or delegate for the accomplishment of assigned functions and responsibilities.
Work with other department heads to see that the facility is operated at the level commensurate with the servicing of customers. Hold direct reports accountable for same.
Assists with and administers the recruiting, hiring, discipline, and firing process of facility operations personnel.
Minimum Education - High School Diploma
Bachelors Degree preferred
Minimum Age - 25 years of age.
Experience - Must have 5-10 years of operations management experience. chemical industry experience preferred .
Must be able to be trained in all functions relating to government regulations.
Skills -- Able to perform all functions of loading, unloading, stacking, palletizing, storage, and movements of material. Minimum 100 lbs. lifting ability. Capable of operating industrial lift trucks.
Able to pass company physical and all training requirements.
Salary: $105k + benefits + PTO + 401k
