Corporate Accounting Manager / Financial Reporting

Multi-million dollar company located in Palm Beach County has an immediate need for a Corporate Accounting Manager to be responsible for Financial Reporting and Corporate Accounting. The candidate will work very closely with the Controller and must demonstrate superior technical accounting research skills and advanced knowledge of GAAP and ASC (Accounting Standard Codification)

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and intercompany reconciliations.

  • Perform technical accounting research and provide technical accounting guidance and recommendations to senior management.

  • Advise on complex accounting issues such as business combinations, consolidations, revenue recognition and lease accounting.

  • Prepare purchase accounting entries and assist with preparing opening balance sheet on newly acquired entities.

  • Review consolidated general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of balances for reporting purposes including explanation of fluctuations including actual to budget/forecast, prior year, prior quarter.

  • Work with external auditors in addressing accounting issues and assist in the support of annual audits and quarterly and other interim reviews.

  • Analyze complex and non-routine accounting issues.

  • Prepare analysis and recommendations and coordinate with financial reporting and general ledger accounting to arrive at sound accounting conclusions.

  • Implements formal processes for obtaining and analyzing information gathered from internal sources for financial report preparation.

  • Assist in ensuring timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting guidance, provide US GAAP interpretations, prepare technical memorandums that document issues in a clear, logical and comprehensive manner, and provide recommendations for implementation.


  • BBA in Accounting; CPA/MBA preferred

  • 4+ years of public accounting experience Big 4 or national CPA firm; 2-3 years of private accounting experience with corporate accounting/financial reporting from a large fast paced company

  • Detailed knowledge and experience with the preparation of financial reports containing detailed metric information

  • Advanced skills within Microsoft Office (Excel super user)

  • Strong analytical skills, strong written and verbal communication skills and high degree of multi-tasking skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and make oral and written presentations in a clear, concise manner
